With a dedicated server (also called root or bare-metal server) the entire hardware is yours alone. No shared resources, no “noisy neighbours” – just constant, predictable performance for demanding applications.
Enterprise CPUs
More than 50 processor models from Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC – from 4 to 32 cores, larger systems on request.
Plenty of memory
ECC RAM from 64 GB to 3 TB – for large databases, virtualisation and in-memory applications.
Fast storage
NVMe SSDs, SATA SSDs or large enterprise HDDs from 250 GB to 16 TB per drive – also in RAID.
Unlimited traffic
Gigabit uplink without traffic limits – higher bandwidth on request.
DDoS protection
Protection against overload attacks, so your service stays online even under fire.
Managed on request
We install your preferred operating system, set up Plesk or cPanel and take care of updates and monitoring on request.
Ideal for
- Large online shops & portals
- Databases & ERP systems
- Virtualisation (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Game servers & streaming
- Backup & storage servers
- Applications with compliance requirements

Why a dedicated server?
On a VPS, several virtual machines share the same hardware. That is affordable and ideal for most projects. But as soon as you have sustained high load – many simultaneous visitors, large databases, compute-intensive processes – a dedicated server shows its strengths: every core, all the memory and the full disk performance are available to you alone. Performance becomes predictable.
Your own hardware also offers the greatest freedom: you can run your own virtualisation, use software licences tied to physical hardware or implement special security requirements.
Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC?
Both platforms are built for 24/7 operation in the data centre and support ECC memory, which corrects memory errors automatically. AMD EPYC scores with a very high core count and memory bandwidth – ideal for virtualisation and parallel workloads. Intel Xeon is widespread, very mature and certified for many enterprise applications. We are happy to advise which CPU offers the best value for your application.
Servers located in Austria and Germany
We offer dedicated servers at our data centre locations in Vienna, Frankfurt and Berlin. For customers in Austria we recommend Vienna – for the best connectivity across Europe, Frankfurt. Already have your own hardware? Then colocation is the right solution.
Dedicated server FAQ
What is the difference between a dedicated server and a root server?
Usually none: both terms describe a physical server with full administrator (root) access. Some providers also call virtual servers “root servers” – with us, a dedicated server is always real, exclusive hardware.
How quickly is a dedicated server available?
Many configurations are available immediately and deployed within a short time. Custom-built servers take a few days depending on the hardware – we give you a firm date in advance.
Can I install my own operating system?
Yes. If your preferred operating system is not in the list, our support team will gladly install it for you after your order.
Do you also offer managed dedicated servers?
Yes. On request we take care of setup, updates, monitoring, backups and the installation of control panels such as Plesk or cPanel.
Can I get a dedicated server with a graphics card?
Yes, many servers can be fitted with a GPU. For AI training and large language models we recommend our dedicated GPU & AI servers.
