When do you need hosting?
Whenever you want to run a project on the internet that must be reachable by everyone 24 hours a day – your company website, for example. Resources provided by a hosting service are reliably available around the clock: they are protected against attacks by multiple firewalls, have high bandwidth and are designed for continuous operation. Running them in your own infrastructure is usually not worth it. For just around €5 a month you get web space or a virtual server that is more than enough for most projects.
Besides cost – thanks to the sheer number of servers in a data centre, hosting is usually cheaper than running things yourself – you should also protect your company or home network! If you run your projects on the same network and expose them to the internet, it is exposed to all the potential dangers of the internet. We therefore recommend moving such services to a hosting provider wherever possible, or proxying them through one.

What is the difference between web hosting, a VPS and a dedicated server?
With web hosting, several customers share one server and we take care of all the technology – ideal for websites and WordPress. A VPS (virtual private server) gives you your own isolated server with root access and guaranteed resources. A dedicated server is physical hardware reserved exclusively for you – for maximum performance.
What do I need a GPU server for?
GPU servers are suited to compute-intensive tasks such as training and running AI models (e.g. large language models), machine learning, image and video processing or 3D rendering. Graphics cards handle such calculations many times faster than conventional processors.
Where are your servers located?
Our servers run in professional data centres in Vienna (Austria) as well as Frankfurt and Berlin (Germany). Your data therefore stays in the DACH region and is subject to the GDPR. For colocation you can choose your preferred location.
What hardware do you use?
For dedicated servers we rely on enterprise hardware with Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC processors, ECC RAM and NVMe SSDs. For AI workloads we offer GPU servers with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000, H100 and H200.
What does managed or unmanaged hosting mean?
With unmanaged hosting you administer your server yourself. With managed hosting we take care of setup, updates, monitoring and maintenance – so you can focus on your core business.
